About Amelia Gold, LCSW

AdminHi! Let me introduce myself…

My name is Amelia, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.

Being a therapist is my dream job; I truly cherish it!

Every day, I have the privilege of engaging in meaningful conversations with incredible individuals like you.

I was told I was “too sensitive” growing up…

I don’t know whether I was too sensitive, but I was driven by a deep desire to please those around me, often at the cost of my own well-being.

This tendency led me to make choices that I knew in my gut weren’t right for me. They left me feeling drained, unhappy, and anxious.

Why did I do this? Well, I felt like I would be judged by being my true self. Maybe you’ve felt the same way.

Therapy changed all that for me.

It helped me gain confidence, find my voice, and overcome the challenges that kept me in that people-pleasing mode.

Therapy gave me the perspective I needed to shift my focus to what truly brings me joy. Because of that, I now live a peaceful, fulfilling life.

That’s why I became a therapist – to give you the same safe, supportive space I had to express your emotions without fear of judgment.

When I’m not in session…

Just like you, I contain multitudes!

I am an ocean-loving, adventure-seeking, book-reading, coffee-drinking, dog-cuddling Floridian. I am anti-hate, pro-loving, and accepting of everyone.

I spend time with my loved ones, at the beach, or talking to my dog, Mako.

My challenges include mindfully doing less, establishing roots in a single place, over-decorating for every holiday, buying way too many dog toys, having a disorganized closet, and fearing letting my loved ones down.

I know that life and people can be hard, but both are worth celebrating!

Wondering if we’re a good fit? Me, too!
