Where are you located?
I’m based out of Florida, but my practice is entirely online.
So, as long as you’re in Florida, we can meet in any private, comfortable place where you have a reliable Internet connection!
What can I expect during my first session?
The first session will begin with an introduction to therapy, including procedures and confidentiality. We’ll then start to talk about you and your background.
The goal of the first session is to get to know you and about your present life… as well as answer any questions you may have.
Don’t worry: There’s no pressure to explain everything in a single session. You can share whatever comes to mind – whatever you’re going through or dealing with.
For almost everyone, the anticipation of the first session is scarier than the session itself!
How frequent are therapy sessions?
Typically, we’ll meet as frequently as twice a week and as infrequently as once a month.
You’ll likely begin with weekly or every-other-week sessions and then transition to less frequent sessions as you make progress and see improvements in your mental health.
How long do I need to be in therapy?
The length of therapy is a very personalized experience, depending on your goals, willingness to engage, and ability to implement changes outside of session.
Based on our clients’ reports, many have less anxiety and depression with better relationships in 10-15 sessions.
That said, we will work together to set goals for therapy and make sure you’re making adequate progress.
Do you provide therapy to children?
Yes! We provide therapy to anyone 12 or older.
Children and teenagers hesitant to do therapy usually benefit from in-person therapy first, with an emphasis on play therapy or expressive art therapy.
Feel free to schedule a free phone consultation for any further questions.
Do you offer family therapy?
At this time, I do not provide family therapy.
However, when working with individuals, family members may join a session if the client and I agree it would be beneficial for their mental health and treatment goals.
